Firefighters battled a three-alarm fire this morning that damaged two apartment buildings near 17th and Guerrero streets. The fire, reported sometime around 8:34 a.m., was brought under control around 9:45 a.m., according to Jonathan Baxter, a spokesman for the San Francisco Fire Department. It affected 22 units, 16 at 3525 17th St. and 6 at 3517 17th St., but it is unclear at this point how many people have been displaced. There were no injuries reported. Baxter said a driveway runs between the two buildings and it appears as though the fire may have started there.
