Beer here: Valencia Street brewpub opening this week

Reno based brewpub Brasserie Saint James is set to open on Valencia Street this week, bringing award-winning beer and, hopefully, filling the void of late-night food in the neighborhood.

Owner Art Farley said the restaurant’s soft opening will take place at 5 p.m. Thursday. Hours will be limited — 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. — for the rest of the week. The restaurant, at 742 Valencia St., will be open all day, including for brunch and lunch, starting next week.

Farley didn’t have a food menu available when I stopped in yesterday, but I got a look at the cocktails, which seem pretty tasty.
