Wanted: Mission burrito bandit
April 29, 2016
Talk about a hot burrito.
A man robbed a Mission Street restaurant of a burrito early this morning, stabbing the person who tried to stop him, police said.
According to authorities, the man ordered the burrito from a restaurant on the 2200 block of Mission Street around 12:30 a.m. then fled with his food without paying. When a 19-year-old man chased after him, he pulled out a knife and slashed the man in the chest, police said. The thief was last seen running west on 19th Street.
The victim was taken to the hospital where he was treated for a small puncture wound, police said.
Editor’s note: As is their policy, police did not disclose the name of the restaurant involved but the time and the location suggests it was Taqueria Cancun. Taqueria Cancun requires you pay first, however.
