Mission Street hit and run

An area around Sycamore and Mission streets was cordoned off with police tape this morning following a hit-and-run accident that sent a 25-year-man to the hospital. According to police, the pedestrian was struck by a car just before 5 a.m. and suffered head injuries. it was unclear this afternoon whether police were still looking for the driver.

UPDATE: Police released a few more details this morning. The victim was removing his bike from a rack when he was struck by a dark colored SUV. His injuries were described as life threatening.
