Violin-t robbery on Mission Street
December 4, 2014
A diner was robbed of a violin near 16th and Mission streets Wednesday night by three people wielding pepper spray.
According to police, the 56-year-old victim was eating in a restaurant around 10:40 p.m. when he got into a disagreement with a woman. The suspect left the restaurant and returned with two friends to resume the argument. At some point, the woman pepper sprayed the diner while his friends grabbed the violin. The suspects were last seen running from the restaurant.
Police did not say which restaurant the robbery occurred at.
Correction: An earlier version of this post misstated the gender of one of the suspects. The suspect involved in the initial argument with the victim is a woman.
